The IBM LTO Ultrium 7 Data Cartridge 38L7302 stores up to 6TB in native at 300MB/sec or uncompressed capacity, with up to 15TB of compressed data at 750MB/sec. IBM LTO 7 cartridges use the new technology Barium Ferrite (BaFe), which improves reliability, longevity and density. The IBM LTO7 tape cartridge 38L7302 is a recent release called Generation 7 with high speed and capacity. Please note that this cartridge is identical to the Lenovo-branded tape, but Lenovo is the retail brand and typically more expensive than IBM. This IBM LTO Ultrium 7 tape is 960 meters long, writes at 5.1 m/sec and has 3,584 tracks to store the data.
